I am a Senior Leader in Education, teacher and psychologist with over 20 years of experience.
For the past several years I worked as an Assistant Headteacher in a secondary school. I am a Child and Family psychologist by training, have a PhD in psychology and accredited by British Psychological Society.
I offer students a unique chance to prepare for the exams in Psychology, History and Sociology (GCSE AND A-level) with a very experienced tutor who can help any student to reach their true potential, regardless of the current grades they are achieving in school.I firmly believe that studying Social Sciences helps teenagers to understand themselves better, to figure out their own motivations and emotions, learn about their cultural heritage, and create positive relationships with other people.
As a tutor, I am not only preparing my students for the exams but also train them in using effective memory techniques to learn the material, teach them effective methods of note-taking, comparing sources of information and referencing scientific literature. My ultimate goal is to help my students to develop into independent and curious life-long learners. I am so confident in my experience and the teaching methods that I can guarantee at least a grade B (grade 7 GCSE) for any student, regardless of their school's predicted grade, and A/A* (grade 8-9 GCSE) if the predicted grade is a B or above. On one condition, though – that students are engaging in the lessons and completing the tasks I am setting for them!
Lessons are individual or in small groups (no more than four). All exam boards: (AQA, Edexcel, OCR, IGCSE, IB)
